Friday Roundup
Latin Lesson #16 is up, covering Third Declension I-stems. They’re more annoying than hard, because they’re declined so similarly to the non-I-stems that it’s easy to get them confused. I always want to stick the -i ending on the ablative for all the other third declension nouns, for some reason. Maybe now I’ll be able to keep them straight.
Once again, I failed to blog for a couple days; and once again, my traffic went up. Here’s a graph that shows the trend of daily visitors since Tuesday, when I made my last post. One of these days I’m just going to stop blogging, and see how long it takes for it to start coming down. Maybe if I only blogged once a week, I’d get seven times the readers!
On the other end of things, I had 108 comments waiting for my approval when I logged in this morning. On the bright side, I knew they had to be spam or some kind of error, so I didn’t get all excited like I do when it says one comment is waiting. Sure enough, they were all spam from some gaming site. I use a captcha to prevent automated comments, so either someone came up with a way to beat the captcha, or someone took the time to sit there and type in the captcha code for 108 comments. It’s most likely the former, so I may have to find a different captcha if it happens again. I blocked this guy’s IP address from visiting my blog at all, so he won’t be back; but if one can do it, it’s only a matter of time…
Here’s something that’s made of awesome. If you haven’t liked Mel Gibson’s latest string of movies, watch this anyway; it’s worth it.
