Chili Supper and Raffles

St. Rose will be having a chili supper on Feb. 22, from 11:00am to 4:00pm.  There will also be maid-rite sandwiches, homemade chicken noodle soup, bags of homemade noodles for sale, a 50/50 raffle, and a raffle for 56 pounds of meat from the Butcher Block.

Games of pure chance don’t excite me much; so last time, to make it more interesting, I bought $10 worth of tickets and put the names of family members on them.  None of us won.  This time, I’m going to buy them in the names of the first ten people who leave a comment on this post.  So if you’d like me to buy you a ticket, leave a comment and tell me which raffle you want to enter.  (For those who aren’t familiar with blogs, the email address it asks you for when you leave a comment isn’t displayed or sold to Nigerian spammers.  It”s just to show you’re a real person; and in this case, so I can contact the winner.)  No need to leave your full name or phone number, as long as the email is good.

In any case, come join us for supper.  (Which is at lunchtime.  Don’t ask me.)  It’s $6 per person or $25 per family, so bring along some neighbor kids and get a great deal.  We’ve got some good cooks, and if these soups are as good as the ones they made last month, you won’t be disappointed.
